Hi all, I just signed up for this list and wanted to say hello.
I admit i'm a complete newbie in synth diy (not another one I hear the cry...)
apart from helping my dad build a simple single boarded synth kit from ETI many years ago
(might have been minisonic I can't remember)
but hopefuly i'll be able to contribute to some of the topics
as well as get some answers to my own ones.
I still have a bunch of my old E&MM magazines with various projects in,
such as digisound, spectrum synth, some maplin stuff etc.
if anyone is interested i'll get together a list of dated issues
and make scans of particular bits for those who need them.,
or I might turn them into complete pdf's as my mags are getting a bit old and falling apart now.

I am building up a Digisound 80 synth, effectively a 16 module sytem
including an alphadac 16, keyboard and 80-22 patcher.
I hope people don't mind if I pester the mailing list with various questions?
im hoping to get a cabinet made soon but there are one or 2 other things to sort out as well.
I've asked around a couple of places and got some contacts
so i'll see how it goes for the time being.
If by any remote chance anyone is in Cambridge 
and fancies a little diy job for me drop me a message...

I can't believe I haven't seen the SDIY list before 
- I live in Cambridge where the UK members meet and am a bit gutted 
i've missed out on meeting some likeminded people in my home town.
Anyway i'll certainly be coming along next year if its still here.
