as soon as you got it, it's fairly simple ;-P

honestly, it is simple. i managed to build my own symbols, packages and 
devices using the eagle help files. i actually find it very helpful to be 
able to use one or more symbols and one or more packages to build one 
device. so one can easily just change the packages (technology) when 
needed.
