By this announcement George, can we assume you have confirmed the LS318 is a
"drop in" replacement for the SSM2210?
If so, that is good news (at least until Linear discontinues them :) ).

~~ Just ordered 50 off LS318 matched 'Log conformance' NPN in SOIC from
~~ Linear
~~ Systems in the US. I can spare a few if anyone needs 'em. The rest
going
~~ into my VCOs in place of the obsoleted SSM2210. George

~~
~~ Not sure which one will make the better log converter yet! LS312 has
~~ better
~~ matching and stability with temperature specifications yet LS318 is
listed
~~ as a log conformance matched pair so we'll see by experimentation.

~~
~~ I like SMT for projects and one can always get a SOIC to DIL adapter for
~~ prototyping. I make tiny VCO modules that previously used the SSM2210
~~ device in SOIC that I need to replace and these chips look like they
could
~~ be a drop in replacement. George
