Perhaps it's even easier to run another (low frequency) oscillator
just to flash the LED. If it's a VCO then feed the additional VCO
with the same voltage. If it's a pot-controlled oscillator ( a PCO?),
you could use a stereo pot.
But if I wanted a flashing LED to indicate a delay time, I'd want it
to flash exactly at the intervals according to the delay time. This
way you could adjust the delay time on the fly to match the groove.
