Related to the ongoing "Your favourite NPN General Purpose Amp 
transistor"-thread, I started thinking about good transistors for battery 
powered equipment. Guitar pedals are an obvious use case, but any battery 
powered noise makers would benefit from such transitors.

What are good transistors for general audio applications when collector 
current is low (50..5 uA or even less)?
