[sdiy] question about cables

Benjamin,

First off you don't say what connectors you are using. Mic cable for  
jack
plugs OR are you using banana plugs on your modules ?. Don't worry
too much about conductor area with the low currents / voltages you will
be using.

Colours - whatever you want.

Material - you don't need the expense of silver, tinned copper is  
fine. Good
quality plugs are more important than cable.

What you should be looking for is a soft PVC flexible jacket, the matt  
finish
cables are probably better. You want something you can grab easily  
without
damage. More thinner conductors make for a better more flexible cable  
than
less thicker ones.

Summary - for banana plugs a good test lead type of cable would suit,  
for jack
plugs a nice flexible soft jacket mic / patch cable will work.
