With regards to audio signals: why not just buy good line/unbalanced
microphone cable?
It's a common misconception that you can run audio over crappy cables
as long as it's a modular.
You might find that starting at some point (probably 1/2 - 1 spool)
the cable will become cheap enough to be used for everything,
including internal CV routing and patch cables.
