If you must, you'll find the solder does not 'wick' as well as good solder. Flux helps, as does higher heat on the iron. It is real important to have the board really clean. I mean scrubbed with a Brillo-pad clean. Make sure you have separate tips for RoHS and good solder, and do not mix them up. Otherwise cross-contamination will cancel any benefit you are getting from going RoHS.
