I remember this, too. Perhaps in contrast, more than once, the Compaq
marketing folks remarked to me "how lucky the company was to have the
engineers we have."

As for college, etc.. I can't even being to explain how synergistic
working on midi and synth circuits (even as simple an act as making
patches) has been for programming, systems analysis, critical
thinking, etc. When is synth-diy going to offer an accredited degree
plan? ;p
