Hi Cynthia, Ian et al - I'm not sure if it came through: I'dont like
this article either - it's misleading.
The best it did was it put some valuable spice into this thread. ;-)
Funnily enough the other day Finlay Shakespear (hi Finlay, I know I
still owe you a response - sorry!) kindly sent me an audio demo whith
some OSC (soft) sync envolved.
I did some research on this and came across this quoted article.
I wanted to post additional questions about sync, but Damian was
quicker.
Admittedly I don't know all existing let alone possible forms of sync
- but I do have my phantasies and desires.
(hey, I got ZOs, that's a start! :-)
However - one of the fields I keep exploring (mostly as a performer)
is complex waveshaping to get more complex spectra from the basic
waveforms - sync can be useful here (amongst other techniques and
dedicated modules etc.)
So thanks for your comments which just enlarged my to-do list. ;-)
