I've done some research now, and it would seem that SP3T On-On-On and DPDT
On-On-On are two ways of describing the same switch.  NKK uses the former
denomination, and E-switch and Taiway use the latter.

In any case, they have six terminals.  The connections are as follows
(looking at the terminals):

Down      Centre       Up

Typically, one connects 3 and 5 externally for a three-way switch, which
connects terminal 2 to terminals 6 (down), 4 (centre) and 1 (up), although
lots of other more complex uses are possible with this topology.  I use them
to obtain three different polarities from active rectifiers in LFOs and
multiplier circuits by changing the both the directions and terminations of
two diodes.

Main Electronics carries the Philmore DPDT On-On-On for less than $6, and
Small Bear will be carrying the Taiway version within the next month or so
(just as soon as their shipment gets released from customs, apparently) for
significantly less than that I should think.

Small Bear also carries another DP3T switch which does not look like a
conventional toggle: the Alcoswitch CST023NK, for $4.75 each.  Here's the
