[sdiy] 30V switch with 4016 pinout?

Would "current mode" operation of the 4016 be doable?

Looking at this Polymoog Resonator section schematic (from Peter 
Ulrich's post)

It looks like the 4016 could easily be operated as a current mode switch 
with the ganged outputs going directly to the summing node of an op amp. 
In that case, voltage level stays fixed at wherever "virtual ground" is 
for the summing node.
