I've seen Linux (simplistic GUI and all) on a TI-89...!

Back to servicing though, I didn't try booting without the battery, so I'll give that a try not (gotta desoldier it).

My dad's a tech at Lockheed, so I think he'd have access or at least know someone who does to a logic analyzer.

Lemme go crack open the ESQ now...
