Excellent point! Before I bought the C2, I rented (briefly) a Yamaha U104
upright (one of the tall ones), and damn was that thing loud, and my living
room has a high ceiling! One invariably puts an upright against a wall, and
a lot of the sound bounces right out at ones head. At least with a grand
piano the sound is diverted up and at an angle, away from the player. Grand
pianos typically produces a softer, warmer tone anyway, just by their
nature. Granted, its still pretty loud if I open the lid all the way and
bang away.
