[sdiy] Good quality panel switches?

I've been using a collection of different panel mounting switches for my
projects as I build them and I'm finding a considerable difference in the
quality of the switches I been using up till now (some of them bought, some
I'd collected years ago).
I've decided it's a false economy to go for the "It will do" option I've
been pursuing so far and I've decided to try and standardise and invest in
a good quality set of switches for my future projects. So I'm looking for
comments and advice for any makes and models of switches to look at (or
avoid). This is for normal toggle type operations (SPST, DPDT, etc.) and
I've no specific preference for the toggle actuator. I'm looking for the
best balance between, quality, reliability and cost (and yes, I know this
can be a tall order).
I'm currently looking at the Apem 5000 series as one choice, but I'm
interested in comments and possible alternatives to this choice.
Thanks in advance
Mike Gorman
