Don't quite understand the question.  The design doesn't affect how the 
caps work.  :-)

There might be variations among the manufacturers, but as far as I can tell 
the good ceramics are very stable and don't have any soakage effects (etc) 
that hurt their performance.  Of course, if a design has built-in 
compensation for the 100ppm/K drift of PS, then it might need some 
modification for use with ceramics.
