[sdiy] Chip tunes

Hey all,

I'm not sure if this falls under SDIY or not, but does anyone do anything with chip tunes?

My new therapist introduced me to this style of music and I've been doing some research on the chips used. In my state of lack of computer I've decided to go ahead and design something based around the Z80 microprocessor set and maybe interface the SN76477 with it. Why the Z80? BG Micro has the CPU and supporting chips for around $15. not bad for a basic computer. There's also five or six really good books on the system here at the NIU library.

So, yes... chip tunes. SDIY or not? Any resources I should look at?
