[sdiy] help finding roland filter schematics?

VCF chips (Roland, Korg, CEM, SSM, etc.) are generally based on OTAs (though the way the capacitors are connected on the SSM 2044 suggests that it may be some sort of ladder filter). Of course there are differences in the transconductance stages and buffer stages, etc. that will affect the sound, but the basic idea is the same. You can think of the Roland IR3109 as being basically the same as the SSM 2040, and you could build the same thing with two 13700s and an exponential amplifier. It won't necessarily sound identical, but it's at least the same topology.

http://www.analoguerenaissance.com/D80017/ I believe this is just made
with standard OTAs and op-amps (13700 and TL074) and it's supposedly
indistinguishable from the original part (though I'm sure it took a lot of careful adjustment to get it to that point).

>> The SH-1000, SH-2000, SH-3 (not SH-3a), SH-5, System 100 (not 100M) and TB-303 all used diode or transistor ladder filters. All others, as far as I know, used OTA designs, though there were plenty of variations (using 3080, BA662, custom chips that included buffers and a resonance OTA, in both 4 pole and state variable topologies).
