Thanks, but that isn't it.  I can get to the forum page, but it says;

Critical Information

You have been banned from this forum.
Please contact the webmaster or board administrator for more information.

Which I did, which is when he said, no you aren't banned, which is when I replied w/ the IP info, and I have not heard back.

But, yeah, ISP's deciding to block certain connections randomly is a serious problem. I run mail servers for several medium sized businesses, and have more problems w/ SBC than anyone.. really, SBC is the only one I have issues with. They'll just block port 25 for no reason, or add one of my clients to their blacklist, which then spreads to other public black lists. When I enquire about why, they say it looks like a lot of marketing related material was coming from my clients IP. Well, I'm sure there was!!!! They are a magazine, and all they do is marketing and adds! That's why the pay for a freaking business line with static IP's, and not a home dsl account. Urg.... a day in the life of a mail admin....

I know that my ISP has at times banned connections from certain IP addresses
due to a flow of viruses and/or spam. I found out because one of my clients
could not send me an email. I inquired and my ISP explained what they did
and why. They removed the block at my request so my client could do business
with me. Turns out my client had been a focus of some virus activity and
they had had some real problems getting rid of the offending worm.

You might try asking your ISP if the ban is on their end.

Is anyone here an admin on Electro-Music?
It's telling me my account was banned. It's an IP ban, as no computers at
my home internet connection work, but from other IP's I can log in.
I filled out the contact form about a week ago. I got a response that "your
account is not locked out, and you should be able to log on". The admin
totally disregarded my mention of it being an IP ban. So far, no one has
gotten back to me again.
I've only ever made two posts, both in the J.H. section, and both were
completely acceptable.

So, if anyone here is an admin there, could you please look into it? I'm
about to start building 3 J.H. modules, and would like access to the forum!

(my guess is that someone from my ISP was causing trouble, got banned, reset
his modem to get a new ip, etc.... finally they blocked my ISP IP range..
)

thanks,
Scott
