If that were me, I'd contact Intersil's technical support, explain your
application and ask for advice on suitability.  If you're developing a
product, I'm sure that they'd be more than glad to help.  (I've had
quality support from some semiconductor manufacturers when they I'm just
doing a one-off and then open-sourcing the design.)
