well you *can* do it that way :-)

but check out the other Arduino form factors. i'm using a USB 
Boarduino for my module, powered from an MOTM power connector via a 
regulator. when i want to update the sketch, i just plug the USB in 
and run up the IDE. no need to chip-swap at all.

also check out the Arduino Nano - same circuit but implemented in SMT 
and then parked in a DIP package with a mini USB port. very cool but 
twice the price of a Boarduino.
