Ian,
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it. I like bell sounds too. Have you ever
heard the intro to Frou Frou's "Psychobabble"? Some really detailed hand
bells there - you can almost hear the clapper moving. The 2-op FM used
here is pretty good at simple bell sounds, but this system needs more
dynamics for better realism - I'll probably add a simple ASR transient
generator to the mod index for that. After that, polyphony!
Funny you should say "all sorts of analog" since this is 98% digitally
generated - the only analog is the CODEC output filter.
