[sdiy] keyboard question and generating cv

I'm probably going to end up using the tact switches. I didn't know that the conductive rubber contacts were crap.
Anywho, the next question in line would be, can a CV generating keyboard be run off of one (at most two if the supply needs to be bi-polar) 9V batteries. I really don't want any power wires running to this thing.
