[sdiy] Eagle question

Hi Csaba!

A net in Eagle (and most other CAD programs) can only have ONE name.
So there are two solutions left:

1.) Create a pseudo part that only has two pins that have a simple graphic line as symbol.
As the pins are treated as different nets you can connect TOUCH_TOP to one side and YU to the other side.
But you will see this pseudo part in the partlist. You have to switch the visbility to NONE so that you can't see the PIN & PAD numbers.

2.) Connect the nets and select one of the two names as new net name.
You can then place a normal text above the wire just for your information (it is no net name)
So it looks like two different nets connect to each other but for the CAD it is only one net with the selected name and one independent text label.

Ciao
Peter

Betreff: [sdiy] Eagle question

Sorry guys ,

This is rather a off topic question . All though the end product
should result in a DSP Synth.

Anyway I am building a LCD Interface between two development
connector types and have them labeled like this

connector 1 , Label 1, for instance Name TOUCH_TOP
connector 1 , Label 2, Name TOUCH_LEFT
...

connector 2, Label 1, has a different Name YU
connector 2, Label 2, Name XL
...

Now my question is how do I route connector 1, Label 1 with connector
2, Label 1 together without changing their Names ? Does anybody know ?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Csaba
