I'm thinking of a slightly different approach: Since my panel has two LEDs
at the "0" and "10" points of a pot knob's pointer, it turns out that a line
between the LEDs falls underneath the lip of the pot in the back. Hence,
I'm going to cut a strip of protoboard two holes wide and solder the LED
leads into it, then use the pot body to hold the centre of the strip down.
