Ok
this is a two part question...
I am trying to fix a PEAVY filter for someone that came in with a DC adapter. It however states on the side of the unit that it
takes 16-15.5 VAC.
1 AMP
I have a bad feeling he tried hooking it up to this DC adapter which states on the back
16 volts 3.5 amps max switching mode regulated supply (which sounds like a DC output to me)
I did all the other repairs before i even plugged the unit in (two broken pots and a dead battery) and now i am worried that
if he DID mess it up with a DC input, then the damage could be way more extensive.
So..I am trying to find a way to supply 16 v AC to the unit...i dont have any adapters of that type,,,only DC...and i have a 12v AC adapter. which i think is far too low for this applicaton.
any ideas??
thanks so much
