I used 5 bands for each of the 3 phonemes (oh, ee, ah). Some bands
were used by more than one phoneme. In addition to selecting the
correct bands, you need to set the level for each band for each
phoneme as well (i.e. two phonemes might have both used the 221 Hz
output but at different levels). I used the level controls on the
filter bank to set the levels for one phoneme. I used the patch points
to send the bands for the other two phonemes to a couple of 6 input
mixers. I used a sequencer to morph between the 3 phonemes in four
steps (oh, ee, ah, ee) using EGs and VCAs. I played the notes manually
on a keyboard as the phonemes were sequenced.
