Fortunately, digest mode is disabled for this list. Some users
subscribe to mailing lists in digest mode and make a nuisance of
themselves by breaking every single thread they post in.

If your motivation for switching to digest mode is to reduce the
clutter in your "in" folder, why not use your email client's
filtering functions instead ? You could create a synth-diy folder
and set up a filter to file all messages that have the List-Post
header set to "<mailto:synth-diy at dropmix.xs4all.nl>" in it.

If your email client cannot filter on arbitrary headers, you can
filter on the subject but a filter on List-Post is better because
it's not confused by off-list replies.
