you are correct..and in the past I have never actually mounted my psu's before with the regulators down it was just that while i was testing, i had it that way....and i was trying to follow every instruction in the manual to a T. but i forgot about the heatsinks.
i feel like a total idiot right now
i need to be much more careful and i think this has given me a real scare.
i really appreciate all the patience and information you people have shown me.
