[sdiy] FW: earthing??

ok

it seems that with this PSU..it wasnt the screw. all works fine if I RUN a earth wire to the screw terminal and then run a wire to my case from grnd ONLY IF the PSU is on its side (not flat)

it seems when it is flat, the only thing properly touching the case is the tip of the regulator heatsinks (i think thats what they are)

in other words..when the BODY of the psu is properly flush against the case...earthing works

it took me a long time to get this right.

if anyone knows why this is.....

thanks
