[sdiy] FW: earthing??

a few questions...

the power supply disconnected from my boards? so test the BOARDS and pots between +v and gnd? and -v and gnd?

also...you said to test for 0v AND gnd...is there a difference?

also...is there any difference between earth and ground? in other words...if i do a test for continuity between the EARTH LUG on the PSU and the GND wire of the ASM2 (for example) should i get a zero resistance reading?

I keep getting a reading around 10 or 14.

one thing that happens is when i hook up the earth lug to my PSU and then the case to the gnd out of the PSU, it will work for a bit but then when i flip a switch, it will cut out for a moment and then pop back in...not good behavior!

thanks..
