Thanks Eric & Simon for your answers.

Seems with multi-layer SMD beads that the higher the inductance the 
lower the current capability.

So I guess I should use a different inductor for when I want good 
isolation from noisy digital power with little current needed, and for 
the general power-input inductors which need to pass more current but 
should have less noise to filter.

Actually for the 10uF decoupling caps I was going to use X5R ceramics.

And there are a few 100nF caps scattered around.  I've shown them near 
the things they are decoupling as they will be placed physically close.  
Do you think I also need 100nF physically close to the inductor?
