You make me feel old. I just did pen-and-paper analysis. I occasionally
use whiteboards as well. My most used book is the "Beta Mathematics
Handbook", need to get a new one as this one is beginning to wear out.
Computers are nice for doing heavy calculations and documentation. But
wrapping your brain around a problem and analyze it is where
pen-and-paper excels most of the time for me at least.
For similar reasons I like books and also wants important documents on
paper, so I can spread it out and access allot of the info as I please.
You can't have three fingers stuck into a PDF document... it's just not
the same type of interface! PDF is a great way to spread documents thought.
