and tom, re changing the input resistor on the mixer for JUST the cleanin:that is a great idea!

i like the idea of changing the input resistor on the MIXER circuit (to get the clean signal louder) as then i wont have to mess with the actual input amp (which i think sounds great right now with no distortion)

and i will go ahead and put a pot in the feedback loop of the mixer circuit so that i can adjust the amount of overall gain for the mixer.
