Hard to beat, to be honest,, but since this is a diy list, and since I
reckon this is for a modular or something?, I'd recommed two ddrum
triggers front and side or similar, going into an old dm5, and then a
clever matrix of values going to a midi->converter? Or how about a
couple of piezos glued on? Then you can actually apply some proper
tension and do real "cv bends", which is cool.
