[sdiy] Heat Sink Compound

I am building several Blacet kits and in the VCO, the instructions say to
place the thermistor in contact with the matched transistor pair, ok all
good. But, is there any utility in adding some heat sink grease between the
thermistor and the transistor pair case? If so, is there a particular
type/brand of heat sink compound that is better to use?
