[sdiy] Strange problem.

Hi All.

Wonder if any of you can help. A synth-related device I see often is
starting to produce unpleasant noises again, and its signal to noise
ratio is degenerating.
It's *apparently* quite a good device, based on the few occasions where
it has produced some useful results, but is becoming irritating in its
lack of useful function these days.
The only identification I can find is that it's marked as a "Sammpa T".
I read somewhere (perhaps on this list) that the problem can be solved
by applying a filter to its output, specifically a Spam filter.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and are there any other fixes
that anyone else can suggest?

cheers,
Dave
