Type 'reflow oven' into ebay and you'll come up with plenty of sub £200 SMT
ovens, mainly far east import (postage). I've never used them but I'm sure
with a little trial and error they'd be fine for all small scale
experimentation and prototypes. George

JB,
In my opinion way too expensive . I have brewed my own little SMT oven
with a PIC and a GLCD displaying the temperature and controlling two
relays of a little pizza oven.
The only little drawback is cooling down .It must be done manually
since too much heat would get stuck in the oven. But my software beeps
and I open the lid just a little bit and let it cool off. It works.
I also do baking with it . 8 Hours straight drying the parts.
Temperature parameters can be changed in the software.
It all works with the MAX6675 and a K-Type thermocouple. It's so easy
to do. I could put something together and post the project on my site
if you are interested.
