[sdiy] electrical problems with panel pots/electrical tape

thanks for all the help
a few of the reasons i use these holes.
1. i can fit more pots per panel if i break off the tabs (the tabs make the pots much taller/wider depending on how they are turned. i like to fit a lot of pots on a small panel (frac)
2. the holes are really easy to solder with...just stick the wire in and drop solder on it.
3.i guess its a bad habit i picked up when i first started using pots and did not know any better.
of course a few people on here have given me good solutions. i will probably take the one persons advice who said that he BENDS the pins out (so the space issue is overcome) and solder straight to them.
