Definitely high performance even at higher parts count / cost. If I'm going
to the length of building something I want it done well--both by me and by
the designer. I'm guessing that in many instances the difference between
your "moderate" and "high" performance designs would be fairly small
relative to the overall cost and time consumed by building the device (when
considering things like fabricating the panel, mechanical assembly, etc.).

My system is MOTM so something compatible with that format would be dandy.
It doesn't have to be an exact match, though; I just need boards that can
mount behind a 5U panel--and I've improvised several ways of doing this over
the years, so really I'm not too picky.
