Here's my tuppence worth :-
How about having the 6 states selected by a row of "push-to-test"
buttons (or touch pads), the switch circuitry could then even be remote
controlled via midi or sequencer?
A 'rotary switch design' wouldn't stop me buying (maybe modding) a kit
though!
