[sdiy] quantizer questions..(Ray Wilson model just built)

OK OK

very very important.

for those of us NEW to quantizers ...as in never having used them before...YOU MUST use a linear input on the vco to really hear all the melodies. no wonder i was getting nothing...i was plugging into a regular 1/v oct cv in.

i dont think ray's site mentions this fact because i am probably the only person who did not first think about what kind of voltages this thing puts out.

now my only question is..the switches....do they react INSTANTLY or does it take a second for the counters to clear out? sometimes the switches seem to more to the incoming voltage than others. is this just calibration or is it the delay?

thanks so much. sorry to sound like an idiot.

this module is amazing.

hell i was thinking i had made one of the coolest tracks ever tonight using it through 1/v oct AND THEN i figured out i was plugging it into 1/v when i should have been using linear fm.

thanks
