[sdiy] Suggestions sought: MPU programmers

Might check the parts before you buy a programmer. Some masked (program is actually put into silicon when it's made) and OTP (One Time Programmable) parts are not readable. Also some parts have memory protect bits that once set you can't read the memory externally. I'd expect most of the commercial (big name synth & effects manufactures) stuff to be made that way.
