Introduced by PAiA, I think. 3U high, in multiples of 1.5 inches wide. Just
taller than Eurorack. Laurie Biddulph at Elby designs has a document which
goes into detail regarding the differences between FracRack and EuroRack.
It's at the bottom of this page:
http://www.elby-designs.com/panther/panther.htm
Blacet and PAiA are some of the more common sources for FracRack although
MetalBox, Cyndustries, Wiard, and Krisp are some who offer modules built or
as kits in FracRack format.
This link:
http://www.modularsynth.com/chart.html
compares some of the more popular module sources and the specifications.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is that format? And what is it oppose
