If no "Q" controls, you are building a semi-parametric EQ.  ;-)  :-)

If using VCFs as building blocks, it would be straightforward to add circuits that increase the resonance (i.e. decrease the bandwidth) of a band as the gain gets further from zero. Some EQs do this -- API, for example, if memory serves.
