Hi there People

First time mailing here so go easy on me :) . Ive got a midi to cv 
trigger pcb with +5v outputs and I need -5v or inverted pulse ( as far 
as I understand it ) I have been recommended the 74HC14 hex inverting 
schmitt trigger. Apart from powering the chip do i need anyother parts ( 
resistors capacitors etc) apart from connecting the input of the chip to 
the output of my cv trigger? Can I just use the output of the chip to my 
trigger inputs on the device I am triggering ? Any helponn htis would be 
greatly appreciated .
