Paul,

Try
	ripup;

(semicolon at the end)

in the command window in the PCB editor.  It will ask you if you want  
to rip up all signals, click yes and it should do as it says.

With the schematic and pcb editor working in tandem you shouldn't  
have to worry about the netlist as it should all be handled behind  
the scenes.

As for autorouting - UUUGGHHH!!!  I avoid autorouters like the  
plague.  In the past I've had the pleasure of working with skilled  
PCB layout people and they never,ever use autorouters.  The closest  
they come is push-n-shove.  Even on large multilayer boards  
autorouters have a knack of mucking things up.
