[sdiy] CPLD, SPLD and... Flash?

Hey all,

I was looking around for more information on CPLD and FPGA and ran across this site:

And it keeps talking about EPROMs and Flash memory, so I was wondering, can you program an SD Flash memory card like an EPROM?
