[sdiy] Alternatives to realplayer

is the person on sdiy who is going to re-encode these as something other than BLIP tv or real player going to have access to your uncompressed files? i assume the blip tv files would look a lot better uncompressed and if there are going to be torrentized...size wouldnt be such a factor...i really do think the real player files, despite their size, look quite good.
