[sdiy] [OT] choice of reverb

Well personally I wouldn't go for a hardware box.  I've owned and used 
quite a few hardware reverb units in the past, including high end 
Lexicon, etc.  But the software (e.g. VST) reverbs that are available 
nowadays just sound better, particularly for realistic space emulations.

A good convolution reverb would give excellent results.  My personal 
favourites are AudioEase Altiverb and Waves IR-1, but there are also 
some much cheaper and even free ones that will give good results with 
the right impulse response.  Try SIR for example:

Of course there are times when a hardware box is just more convenient 
but in the studio it just doesn't make sense any more IMO.
